Link: 30% of women who meet people online have sex on first date

ONE third of women who meet someone online have sex on the first date, and three quarters of these do not use a condom, according to a new survey.

The survey, published in the US journal Sexuality Research and Social Policy, is alarming for those who push the safe sex message - particularly as chlamydia and HIV infection rates in Australia are now at a 10-year high.

We’ve seen the future and it is sex robots.

That’s according to one scientist who apparently isn’t preoccupied with that whole cure for cancer thing.

“Once you have a story like ‘I had sex with a robot, and it was great!’ appear some place like Cosmo magazine, I’d expect many people to jump on the bandwagon,” said David Levy, an artificial intelligence researcher and someone you should never “pop in” on without calling first.

Link: New Study Refutes Finding That Early Sex Leads to Delinquency

Researchers at Ohio State University garnered little attention in February when they found that youngsters who lose their virginity earlier than their peers are more likely to become juvenile delinquents. So obvious and well established was that cause-and-effect connection that it was already part of the required curriculum for federal “abstinence only” programs.

There was just one problem: It is probably not true. Other things being equal, a more probing study has found, youngsters who have consensual sex in their early-teen or even pre-teen years are if anything less likely to engage in delinquent behavior later on.

Link: One In Five Young Britons Has Sex With Someone New While Abroad

Around one in five young Britons has sex with a new partner while overseas, finds research published ahead of print in the journal Sexually Transmitted Infections.

And they are apparently opting for British or European sexual partners in the belief that this minimises the chances of HIV infection, but seemingly unawares of their risks of contracting other sexually transmitted infections.
